I have a feeling that many parts of America is huddled under down comforters by the fireside, cursing the winter snow and wishing it were spring time already. Me, on the other hand, is cursing that it’s gotten so warm so quickly here in Okinawa.

Healthy Green Smoothie

I have about 4 other posts I need to write, but I made this smoothie for breakfast this morning and immediately got to snapping pictures so I could post it today. I was a little leery of the green smoothie craze circulating around the blogosphere lately, but I've been feeling a little under the weather lately, so I wanted to get some nutrients into my system, and fast. A smoothie seemed like the fastest and most efficient way to do that, but I was concerned that the smoothies/shakes I had as a kid had so much sugar and dairy that it would completely negate the benefits of the included fruits.

Lots of life-y things have been happening lately. That's good, since it feels like all I've been doing is worksleepworksleepcookworksleepblogworkworkwork. I'd prefer more cooking and blogging in there vs the working aspect, but c'est la vie, right? While I don't have a recipe for you in this post, I DO have lots and lots of pictures of yummy food and cultural things and pretty flowers!
